Lost Love Story

by Editor Miro Susta
Edited and published by Yvette Depaepe, the 19th of January 2024

The most important thing in life is unconditional love. Love of oneself, of people, of nature, of the world, of universe, of life, of God.

Love' by Armonti Mardoyan

Everything else will follow if everyone accepts love as the highest value. Love is sacrifice, strength, hope, forgiveness, love is the meaning of everything and without it nothing makes sense. But sincere love for a life partner or an intimate close friend is more above all, it must never be underestimated or abused.

'Transparency Layer' by Pristine Clothes

Every love relationship has a lifespan, and once it has begun, it also has an end. Some love affairs can last forever, while others can end at the very beginning. The love story might have begun with the greatest passion, but after a while, when emotions have calmed down, even a vibrant and full of surprises relationship can turn into a routine.

'Underground' by José Ignacio Gil Blanco

It develops well for a while, then becomes critical, but love can survive it despite this.
Even though the love is gone, it's still hard to realize that something that was once so great must come to an end. There is no right way to prevent the sad feelings of losing love.

'Lost Love' by Tom Gore

Every time we may ask the question where has all that love gone, but no one can answer that in any reasonable way.

'Lost Love' by Anna Wacker/Martin Wacker

Perhaps the illusions had already been dissolved and the reality turned out to be something other than what was expected from the love.

'Illusions never change' by Pieter De Vries

Maybe it was only passion but not true love.
Maybe it was something else, every failure has its own face.

'Right here waiting' by Fan Yang

However, it's also possible that this is not the very end, love just needed a little break and is still able to save itself.

'Together for ever' by Andrey Lobodin

But if the love is really gone, no tricks will help to save it, because sooner or later the love will go and those few weeks of uncertainty won't make someone happier.

'Tied' by Adrian Sommeling

The only thing to do in any situation is to try to forget the lost love as quickly as possible, because the sadness will evaporate just as quickly as the happiness.

'Train station' by Jie Fischer

But still in some cases the love lost isn't anyone's fault, it's just something that has happened. One should never stop to believe of finding a new love, a true one that will last until the very end.

Even if the end of a love is sad, it should be seen as an opportunity to find a new and better one.

However, even if one feels sad and disappointed, it is important not to misuse the holy word of love, rather to take it seriously in every situation, otherwise it can turn against and punish one later once more.

It might be worth sharing a few well-known citations on the subject of " Lost Love" with you here:

'It is sad not to love, but much sadder not to be able to love.'
Miguel de Unamuno**1864-1936, Spanish essayist, novelist, poet, playwright and philosopher

'Goodbye My Lover' by Ismail raja sulbar

'If we must separate forever, please give me at least one word of comfort before you break my heart.'
Thomas Otway**1652-1685 English dramatist of the Restoration period

N/T by David Dubnitskiy

'It's amazing how someone can break your heart and you can still love him with every single piece.'
Ella Harper**1870-1921-USA

'I often feel the one pain that I will never know. It's caused by your absence.'
Ashleigh Ellwood Brilliant***English-born American author and cartoonist

'L’absence' by Thierry Lagandré (Transgressed Light)

'Falling in love is like holding a candle. At first it illuminates everything around you. But then it starts to melt and hurt you. When it finally goes out, everything is darker than ever, and all you're left with is a burn mark.'
Arshad Sayed***Indian television and film writer

'Little Lights' by Nathan Yakobovitch

'It is better to love and then lose than never to love at all.'
Samuel Butler (1835-1902)***English novelist and critic

'farewell' by Rachel Pansky

'Love is like a mathematics example...you do the calculation...you make a mistake...you want to correct yourself but it's too late...it rings a bell.'
Albert Einstein 1879-1955**German American Physicist

'TimePhoto' by Marcel Egger

'The loneliest person is the one who has lost love.'
Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961)***American writer and journalist

'In the bedroom' by Sandro Sardoz

'Long ago, men went to sea, and women waited for them, standing on the edge of the water, scanning the horizon for the tiny ship. Now I wait for Henry. He vanishes unwillingly, without warning. I wait for him. Each moment that I wait feels like a year, an eternity. Each moment is as slow and transparent as glass. Through each moment I can see infinite moments lined up, waiting. Why has he gone where I cannot follow?'
Audrey Niffenegger (born June 13, 1963) is an American writer, artist and academic.

'Woe' by Tammy Swarek

'Grief' by Ton Dirven

And one more from famous French painter and graphic artist of the late 19th century Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec:
'A normal, intelligent man should not fall in love. If he opens the thirteenth forbidden chamber of his heart out of folly, momentary irrationality or pride, he is lost. He will pay for his offence with terrible torment.'

'The dark alley' by Jose C. Lobato

Summary? This is for everyone to decide without the help of someone else. Love can be very beautiful, but this word should be always taken very seriously.
Do not forget to love, cherish it like a little flower in the garden, and then you will be unforgettably rewarded for your whole life.

Wonderful images ... !

Some beautiful, meaningful image for a "lost love". I sometimes wonder why so many allegedly "artistic" women nudes, the ones visibly tormented, brutalized, tied with ropes, waiting in a corner of a room to be further tortured...perhaps they sell well? Anyway, most of the stories here are little jewels
I appreciate your appreciation but unfortunately don't understand your comment related to "artistic" women nudes, which photo you have in mind dear Mariuca? Wish you a very nice weekend.
I was referring to the "artistic nudes" in general that are posted on 1x. Not to a particular picture in this posting. Sorry for not being clear
